What is your dream job?

Recently I was asked what my dream job is.  When you think about what your dream job is you need to consider certain criteria.  Does this job improve your quality of life?  Does it give you an avenue to express your talents?  Does it give you time to spend with the people you care about most?  Would you do it for free if you had to?  When I look at all these questions and thing about what I really want to do in life I would say that I already doing my dream job.  Are there areas I would like to grow and expand?  Absolutely!  One of my major goals in photography is to work for a supplement company and provide them with some amazing images to use to promote their work and more importantly to me their culture.  1st Phorm would be at the top of that list, just because I believe in what Andy his team are doing.  I would also love to shoot for a magazine, one of my idols is Per Bernal.  You don't know who that is?  Well go pick up almost any major fitness magazine and I am sure you have seen his work.

So what is your dream job?  What is the job that you wouldn't have to be paid to do?

Titone Midwest Muscle Contest / NPC Midwest

Well it is now official.  I am now the exclusive photographer and videoagrapher for NPC Midwest!!  When considering the next step in my photography journey it just felt right to join forces with one of the best promoters in the business.  I have been to numerous shows put on by Jack and have been super impressed each time.  His team is top notch, the venue and lighting are always flawless, and all of his shows are national qualifiers.  These were just a few reasons I decided to partner up with Jack.

Check out NPCMIDWEST.com for all the shows he has lined up for 2016.  I am very excited to see everyone on stage next year and capture these moments for you!

Hard work does pay off

I know I have been away from blogging for a while now and I want to apologize for that.  One of my major goals in 2016 is to blog more and share my journey with you all.  So what have I been up to?

Well first I have been taking time and focusing on myself, getting myself in better health mentally and physically.  I am proud to say that I have lost right at 80 pounds!!  I have a long way to go to reach my goal but I have never felt better.  It is amazing how your physical wellness can impact your mental wellness.  I have never been in a better spot in my life and so very thankful for that.

Second, I have been busting my butt traveling all over the country networking and doing photo shoots.  I am constantly trying to grow my business and provide more services to help you the client build your brand.  That is my number 1 goal when I do a photo shoot.  How can I help this client build their brand in a unique and creative way.   In the past year I have continued to build my skill set, partnered with the Small Business Guru at http://ellisbenus.com/ to provide all your small business web needs.  I have also started offering videography services to all my clients.  Do you need a promo video done?  Commercial for your training business?  We can now provide that to you!

Lastly and one of the most exciting developments of the year is that I started working with Jack Titone at Titone Midwest Muscle Contest's.  What does this mean exactly?  I am now the exclusive photographer and videographer for all the NPC Midwest shows in 2016.  Jack and Ann have built an amazing team and I am honored to be a part of it.  Their shows are second to none!!

To find out more information about their shows please visit http://npcmidwest.com/events/

So that is what has been going on in my world.  I promise to keep you guys updated more and can't wait to see what 2016 brings!

Natural Build Physique Seminar at Dudas Fitness

Thanks to John Arnold and Nicole Dudas for letting me come by their seminar today and talk to all the amazing athletes.  Photography is a part of the industry a lot of people are unfamiliar with but invaluable.  Not only can your stage shots tell you so much about what you looked like on stage and how you looked against your competition but it captures you and your journey too!!  Along with that the one on one shoots are just the icing on the cake.  They let you show off your transformation, your hard work, the weeks of eating chicken and broccoli.  Wanting to quit but never giving up.  The days you doubted if it was worth it, all for this one moment to shine, and shine you will!!  You should get in touch with a photographer and capture these moments but don't forget to live those moments either!!  Take it all in the journey is worth it!!

Sydni May models Maison Lyle House of Lyle designed bikini in Kansas City Missouri

Maison Lyle - House of Lyle sent me a box of bikinis recently to photograph and my good friend Sydni May offered to model for me.  Sydni is a professional bikini fitness competitor, twin peaks girl and 100% bad ass.   She was a perfect fit for what I was looking for.  We met up this past weekend in Kansas City and shot 3 different suits, this is the first one!  I want to thank Jessica Stewart for her amazing make up and Lauren Lyle for the great designs.

Happy Birthday Brandi Wisdom

Every once in a while someone comes into your life and has such an impact on you that you know you will never be able to forget that person.  Brandi Wisdom is that person to me.  She literally saved my life simply by being her.  She is the most genuine and amazing person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and she will be my life long friend.

I read all the stories of people that she has inspired with her transformation and am not surprised.  She cannot help but be inspiring and motivating.  She is definitely one of the good ones!!

I cannot express my gratitude enough for her coming into my life.  Friendship is a special bond and should not be given away and I am honored to call this woman my friend.  Happy birthday Brandi!  In honor of Brandi's birthday here is a 100% untouched image of her,  enjoy!

A look back on 2014

I know I am a little late on this but I have been on Vacation and decided to put the phone and internet away during that time so I could spend some much needed time with my family.  2014 was a great year for me and I am sad to see it go, but I am enthusiastic and ready to tackle new challenges in 2015!!  Last night I figured it up and I had the pleasure of shooting with 130+ athletes and I cannot wait to see what the new year brings.  Three years ago I didn't even own a camera now I am traveling all over the country shooting with some of the top fitness models in the world and it is all because you guys have put your trust in me to capture some awesome images.  So I want to say from the bottom of my heart, Thank you!!  TheNewMeJourney isn't my journey it is our journey.

So what is new in 2015?  First I have teamed up with Lauren Lyle to provide some unique and amazing wardrobe options during shoots, when available.   Second I have teamed up with Training & Fitness Magazine and will be submitting almost everything I shoot to them for consideration of publication.  I will also be covering some IFBB Pro shows for them in 2015!!  I am going to be hosting a photographers shootout at the Lake of the Ozarks this year, I will be providing more details on that soon.  I also will be traveling more than ever!!  Please head over to the travel schedule page to see where I will be.  Last I am opening a studio in Kansas City!!  I have been looking at a few locations and believe I have found a spot, I will let everyone know when it is open!!

So lots of exciting changes being made at TheNewMeJourney, I am currently booking for Columbus Ohio during the Arnold, spots are filling up fast.

Now Booking for 2015!!

Fitness season is approaching us fast and you athletes are busting your asses to get in the best shape you can.  When you step on that stage you would have spent months on a strict eating regimen, taken hours out of your day to work out and do cardio, drink more water than the great lakes all to walk across the stage and show off your physique for a few minutes?  Competitions are amazing they bring out the drive to push yourself to a point that most people cannot do, so why not book a shoot and really capture that moment?

I will be shooting more than ever in 2015 and I would love the opportunity to speak with you about a photo shoot.  Please take a look at my page, www.thenewmejourney.com / www.facebook.com/thenewmejourney, and if you see something you like please shoot me a message through the contact page or at booking@thenewmejourney.com.  Here is an image I had the pleasure of creating with IFBB Bikini Pro Jessica Lynn!!
